Taming the Teen Queen Bee: only a mother’s job?

This week’s Time mag has an article titled Taming the Teen Queen Bee: Girls can be vicious to one another. Mothers of both victims and perpetrators can ease the sting.

I don’t quite get why the entire responsibility for a parental intervention would lie solely with the mother… especially since in the same issue of Time, there’s an article titled “Daddy’s Girls: Fathers are coming up with new ways to bond with their daughters” (not yet online. More on that piece to come).
