The manner in which one endures what must be endured is more important than the thing that must be endured. – Dean Acheson
Who do I most admire in the world today? Nelson Mandela, because of the way he endured his nearly 30 years in prison. His lack of bitterness was a major factor in his effectiveness after his release. He’s an inspiration to me to handle the comparatively small curves that life’s thrown at me these past few months… and I have a weird feeling of confidence (or is it trust? faith?) that whatever else might be coming at me next, I’ll be able to find the support and strength to make the best of it.
