My wife Robbie had her 6 month MRI follow-up yesterday, to monitor what’s happening with her acoustic neuroma (non-cancerous brain tumor.) We won’t know for sure till her physician in Rhode Island looks at pics, but to our untrained eyes, it looks like there’s a large dark mass in the center of the tumor. If true, it indicates that the tumor could be dying — a result of the doses of gamma knife radiation she received last fall. Which could be good news.
My daughter had a check-up with her Scoliosis surgeon yesterday, as she’s been experiencing quite a bit of pain lately. He put her on Ibuprofen for a couple weeks to see if that helps, but if it doesn’t, she’ll need X-rays to see if there’s a problem with the fusion. Which could be bad news.
What’s my prayer today? It’s mainly one of gratitude, that despite all they’ve been through and have yet to go through, they’re both upbeat, cheery people.
