I am not afraid of

I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning how to sail my ship. – Louisa May Alcott

I used this quote for a Joe to Go back in late November when my dad was dying. Today, I’m recycling it since it seems appropriate for the business storm that I’m in. Last week, Motley Fool laid off a third of their staff, as ad revenue has plummeted. They’ve been the model for my business plan, but they evidently expanded way too fast in the days when ad banners were fetching a decent rate and there were plenty of dot-coms with plenty of cash eager to advertise to their thriving community. I don’t know exactly how to sail this ship of Joe in this kind of weather, but I’m glad I don’t have any crew members that I’d have to toss overboard like so many others are doing.
