For me, ‘open your eyes” is another way of saying ‘wake up’ or ‘pay attention’ or ‘learn at the feet of your life.’ I’m learning that the more I understand, the more I ‘see’, the more I experience life as damn good and getting better. It’s weird in a way, but I’m starting to believe that everybody has the right to experience life as damn good, no matter what their circumstances. For me, the main problem was that whenever I was ‘suffering,’ I didn’t take that as a clue that there was something I wasn’t understanding correctly. That has made all the difference.
