I had coffee with a good friend yesterday and it was gratifying to hear that he was enjoying reading this blog and Joe to Go everyday. We talked a little about how I do it, and how I decide what to reveal. I told him that I only post about half of what I write, as the rest is for my journal and not intended for an audience… though sometimes after I write in my journal, I’ll excerpt and/or rewrite a chunk into a blog entry.
Later, I got an email from an investor who read my “In the News” entry and said “I like this feature a lot.” This was a little strange to hear her call it a Feature, because although I just plopped it in there as just another entry in my blog, I had spent a few hours on Friday creating it as a Feature, a separate blog called Real Joe’s Media Filter Weblog, just to contain commentary pieces like this. I don’t yet have it linked from anywhere on the RJ website, as I need to make sure I can do it often enough to make it worthwhile. But her comment also gave me encouragement.
