And it can be darn good for romance, too. Part of what set our romantic mood on Saturday evening was watching a funny movie. Last weekend, Robbie and I went with some friends to see the new Coen brothers’ movie, O Brother, Where Art Thou? We loved it, and it reminded us that we’d missed a couple other of their movies, including The Big Lebowsky. So we rented the video. It’s great comedy, but there not a romantic moment in the whole thing. We’ve bombed out many a times trying to find a steamy movie to “get us in the mood” but rarely has this worked, whereas a good comedy never seems to fail… as long as our relationship is in good shape at the time.
