We shall describe conditions of the soul that words can only hint at. We shall have to use logic to try to corner perspectives that laugh at our attempt. – Huston Smith
I tend to be way more left-brained than right, so journal writing is my preferred mode for reflection. This quote reminds me that I’m probably missing a helluva lot by sticking to what’s most comfortable. Poetry is hard for me to read, not to mention write. I don’t currently play any musical instruments, though I played the organ as a kid and guitar in college. I’ve dabbled with pottery. I don’t speak a foreign language. I’ve never been in a play. I hardly ever read novels, except when I’m on vacation. I guess I’m in a rut.
If I had to choose something, I’m probably most inclined to learn to play the piano and keep a novel going. I just don’t feel quite ready to make the leap, though. I tell myself that this entrepreneuring is hard enough, but I know too much to believe that that’s a valid excuse. A little more right-brained activity would probably be good for my entrepreneurial side. Still thinking…..hesitating…. wondering
