Reframing. Paradigm shifting. Glass half-full. Et al. Those phrases are so overused they seem trite, yet it’s amazing to me how often I can shift my experience by simply changing how I think about it. Today’s blurb about lifting weights is a good example. So the above quote would work better for me if it ended “… but as we think” since “as we are” denotes a finality to our perception.
