Some people have asked for a medical update on my son and daughter so here you go:
Gilly (the one on the top in this picture) is doing really well recovering from her Scoliosis surgery. Walking over 2 miles a day and almost completely off any pain meds. She’s a whole 1.75 inches taller.
Tyson (the one on the right) had spinal fusion surgery today. They went in from the front, removing a rib to fuse the lower 3 vertebrae. He didn’t need donor blood or bone — that’s good. It’s also good that they don’t need to go in through his back again to fuse from the back side. He’ll be in a lot of pain for quite a while due to the rib removal but should be out of the hospital in a week or so.
